There is some clishee of warm countries of a sandy beach, shell, stafish, colourful fishes etc. Of a place not spoiked by tourism, maybe even somehow benefitting from it.
There is a story of a "ditch" having been dud from the eest toward east half way in the middle of Sahara in Africa. In the west coast of Africa there is Senegal, so that seems to fit such a theory. And in the middle of Sahara it would be always new sand coming, but so that does fit the picture of a place not spoiled by tourism.
